Andrea Bowen was born in the US. Her acting career began with Broadway musicals Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. In 2004, she began playing the role of Julie Mayer on the ABC comedy-drama Desperate Housewives, a role she played on a regular up to 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer was born to Susan Delfino, and Karl Mayer. Growing up Julie was the perfect child for Susan she was often seen as the mother to their romance because she cooks, was clean and gave her mother dating advice.
